DCC welcomes five new tenants

We are thrilled to announce that DCC will be joined by five new tenants. They are Lee Siu Him, Chris Wong, Justin W.T. Lam, Eunice Lui and Sabina Sui. 

Lee Siu Him 

Called to the Bar in 2007, Lee Siu Him predominantly engages in general civil practice as both sole counsel and led junior. His areas of expertise include commercial disputes, banking, land, employment, trust, intellectual property and probate.  

Siu Him has a track record of appearances in trials and appeals involving complex questions of law such as “contractual estoppel” in mis-selling claims (DBS Bank (HK) Ltd v Sit Pan Jit HCA 382/2009 (CFI); CACV 91/2015 (CA); FAMV 45/2016 (AC)), adverse possession of common parts of multi-storey building (The IO of Po Hang Building v Sam Woo Marine Works Ltd FAMV 21/2016 (AC)), and effect of severance notice on joint tenancy (Ho Kwok Wing v Chan Mei Mui [2018] HKCFI 1135 (CFI); [2020] 3 HKLRD 548 (CA)). 

Siu Him holds particular exposure in cases raising public law issues of great general or public importance, e.g. the first final appeal involving National Security Law (see HKSAR v Lai Chee Ying (2021) 24 HKCFAR 33) and the judicial review challenging constitutionality of “anti-mask” law (Leung Kwok Hung v Secretary for Justice [2020] 1 HKLRD 80 (CFI); [2020] 2 HKLRD 771 (CA); (2020) 23 HKCFAR 518 (CFA)). 

Siu Him has extensive experience as both trial and appellate advocate in courts and tribunals, including magistrates’ courts, the Lands Tribunal, the District Court, the Court of First Instance, the Court of Appeal and the Court of Final Appeal. He also has a wealth of experience in providing opinions on legal issues arising from listing applications to the SEHK.

Chris Wong 

Prior to joining Chambers in 2024, Chris served as a Judicial Assistant at the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal, where he assisted the judges with substantive appeals, leave applications, and other works of the Court generally. Chris was called to the Bar in 2023, upon his completion of pupillage with Mr. Tony Li SC, Mr. Eric Leung, Mr. Robin D’Souza and Mr. Simon Wong. 

During his legal studies, Chris competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where he received honourable mentions both as an oralist and for the written memorandums.  

Chris is developing a broad civil and criminal practice. He is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He accepts instructions in all areas of work.

 

Justin W.T. Lam 

Justin was called to the Bar in 2024 after his completion of pupillage with Mr. Earl Deng, Mr. Thomas WK Wong, Mr. Martin Wong and Mr. Tony Li SC.  

Before commencing pupillage, Justin completed his LLM at the London School of Economics and Political Science, focusing on corporate and commercial law. 

Justin is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. He is developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas.

Eunice Lui 

Eunice was called to the Bar in 2024. She will join Chambers upon completion of her pupillage with Mr. Hectar Pun SC, Ms. Priscilia Lam, Mr. Ross Yuen and Dr. Benny Lo. Eunice is developing a broad mixed practice, focusing on public and administrative law, criminal, land and arbitration matters. 

During her studies at the University of Hong Kong, Eunice served as part of the Law Association, representing law students of her cohort. Eunice was also an enthusiastic mooter, having represented the University of Hong Kong at the 22nd  Annual International Maritime Law Arbitration Moot as oralist, in which her team was a quarter finalist. Prior to commencing pupillage, Eunice served as a Marshal to the Honourable Madam Justice Carlye Chu, Vice-President of the Court of Appeal.  

Eunice is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and accepts instructions in all areas of work.

 

Sabina Sui 

Sabina was called to the Bar after completing her pupillage with Mr Robert Pang SC, Mr Simon Wong, Mr Jeffrey Tam and Mr Albert NB Wong. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong, where she obtained her LLB and PCLL (Distinction). She later earned her LLM with Distinction in Human Rights Law Specialism from the London School of Economics and Political Science. 

During her studies, Sabina received various scholarships and awards, including the Personal Injuries Elective Prize and the Haldanes Prize in Criminal Litigation.  

Sabina is developing a broad practice in general civil litigation, with a particular interest in personal injuries and public law matters. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, and accepts instructions in all areas of work.
