Chris is developing a broad civil practice, with a particular focus on commercial, land, matrimonial and personal injury matters. He has experience acting as sole advocate or led junior at various levels of court.

Chris was called to the Bar in 2023, upon completion of his pupillage with Mr. Tony Li SC, Mr. Eric Leung, Mr. Robin D’Souza and Mr. Simon Wong. Before joining Chambers in 2024, Chris served as a Judicial Assistant at the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal, where he assisted judges with substantive appeals, leave applications, and other work of the Court.

During his legal studies, Chris competed in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, where he received honourable mentions both as an oralist and for the written memoranda.

Shareholders Dispute

• JS Success Ltd v Cheung Theobald Aylwin & Ors [2025] HKCFI 3837 (as sole advocate) – represented the majority shareholders of the company in successfully defending an unfair prejudice petition in a 6-day trial arising from a joint venture of restaurant business.

Commercial & Contract

AXHT Company Limited v 王一诚

[2025] HKCFI 4568; [2025] HKCFI 6199 (with Jason Ko) – represented the debtors in successfully resisting the creditor’s application for a Mareva injunction and subsequent leave to appeal.
[2026] HKCFI 34 (with Jason Ko) – acted for the debtors in a loan and novation dispute.

Telford Environmental Service Ltd v Greenway Building Materials Ltd DCCJ 1273/2020 – trial concerning a professional consultancy contract dispute.

Compulsory Sale

• Kerryford Holdings Ltd & Ors v Profit Valley Ltd & Ors

○ [2025] HKLdT 46 (with Ross Yuen) – represented multiple groups of minority owners in a 10-day trial concerning an application for compulsory sale for redevelopment.
○ [2026] 1 HKC 894, [2025] HKLdT 75 (as sole advocate) – acted for the successful respondent in resisting the developer’s application to impose additional burdens on minority owners in the particulars and conditions of an order for sale: challenge on the statutory jurisdiction of Lands Tribunal.

Land & Property

• Kam Lung Motor Group Limited v Very Great Metal Co Ltd DCCJ 3449/2021 (with Jerome Liu) – acted for the tenant in a 4-day trial over a commercial tenancy dispute.

• RC Capital Ltd v Wong Iong LDPE 10/2025 – represented the sub-tenant in an application for recovery of rent and possession of property.

Family & Matrimonial

LWWD v NH FCMC 7232/2017 – represented the respondent in resisting an application to recover arrears of maintenance.

Personal Injuries
• Lau Andy v Zhu Yubing HCPI 179/2023 (with Christina Lee) – represented the third party in a striking out application.
