Jeffrey Tam Teaches in the HK Bar Association-Peking University Common Law Course

In May 2026, Jeffrey Tam, along with fellow members of the Bar Association, including Eva Sit SC and Charles Chan SC, served as lecturers for the Common Law course jointly organised by the Hong Kong Bar Association and Peking University Law School.

The course provides Peking University law students with systematic training in common law principles, including the Hong Kong legal system, the Basic Law, contract and tort law, civil and criminal procedure, administrative law, alternative dispute resolution (mediation and arbitration), and advocacy skills.

During the session, the students demonstrated a very high standard, actively engaging and showing strong interest in administrative law.

The programme, first launched by the Hong Kong Bar Association and Peking University Law School in 2011, has now trained nearly 500 Peking University students. A mock court assessment and graduation ceremony will be held in Beijing on 11 June 2026.
