
Tiffany Yau shares her experience at the Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship Prize Presentation Ceremony 2025
Tiffany Yau, a Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship recipient of 2021, was invited to serve as MC and share her experience as a Charles Ching Scholar at the Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship Presentation Ceremony, which was held on 23 April 2025. The ceremony was attended by various prominent guests, including the Acting Chief Executive Mr Paul Lam SC, Her Honour Judge Mrs Adriana Tse Ching, Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association Mr José Maurellet SC, and the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Bar Association Mr Martin Hui SC and Ms Eva Sit SC.
During the ceremony, Tiffany shared her experience in attending the South Eastern Circuit Bar Mess Foundation Advanced International Advocacy Course which was held at Keble College, Oxford. During the course, Tiffany received trainings on both trial and appellate advocacy, had the opportunity to partake in cross-examination of expert witnesses, and received invaluable feedback from esteemed judges and leading practitioners, including most saliently Lord Justice Green, the Senior Presiding Judge at the English Court of Appeal.
The Charles Ching Memorial Scholarship was set up by the Hong Kong Bar Association in 2000 in memory of the late Honourable Mr Charles Ching, GBM, one of the founding permanent judges of the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal in 1997. This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the Scholarship.

Tiffany Yau
Tiffany is a Charles Ching Scholar. She joined Chambers in 2021 after completing her pupillage with Mr Chan Chi Hung SC, Mr Clement Lau, Mr Earl Deng, Mr Tim Parker and Mr Justin Ho.
Tiffany obtained her LLB from the Chinese University of Hong Kong with First Class Honours. She went on to obtain her BCL from the University of Oxford with Merit overall and Distinction in Commercial Remedies.
Before being called to the Bar, Tiffany was a Judicial Assistant to the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal from 2019 to 2020.
Tiffany is developing a broad practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
